Thursday

(08/15)

Day 1

We start day 1 bright an early (7am!) by heading out to the Gran Canyon. Departing from our hotel in Las Vegas (The Horseshoe). We got a double room booked for the night before (08/14th), come crash with us: bring a blanket, pillow fort or inflatable misttress.

I have rented a 7 passenger minivan, please let me know if you would like to be added to the minivan in advance. Like way in advance! First come first serve! If we run out of spots it is possible to also carpool with someone’s car or rent a second car .

-The trip to the West Rim (skywalk) is ~2.5 hrs.

• Apparently the Gran Canyon park has an entrance fee. Wild. However their $68/person fee includes access to the skywalk which is a glass bridge with amazing views: https://grandcanyonwest.com/things-to-do/skywalk/ Tix need to be bought in advance. Pronto.

• There are a few local restaurants to get food/drinks

• Guano point is a popular hiking spot

We will probably get back to Las Vegas towards the end of the day.

Friday

(08/16)

—-Hotel suite check-in —- (4pm)

Day 2

No need to wake up early on Day 2. After checkout, the plan is for Jony & Vane to head to a grocery store to buy food/drinks/ice and things needed for the Hotel suite

The Suite is located within ~9 mins off the main strip and check-in is at 4pm.

Official Jony’s 34th birthday party will take place Friday evening at the Suite

The party will include:

• Cocktail making class by special mystery mixologist

• BlackJack table setup with a brief class for any non-experienced players

• Texas Hol’em table w real moneys

• Fun games for the group

• Music by DJ Tran

Saturday

(08/17)

Day 3

Day 3 begins with the first ever Jony’s 5K Run !

Join me at 8am for a 5K run, participants will receive medals at the Champagne podium finish. See below for route info.

At round 11am, relax and cool down at the Pool party. Bring your favorite swim suit, floaties, and sunglasses.

Afternoon plans include heading out to the strip for dinner, drinks, fun. Agenda is open for suggestions from the group.

Hotel Suite

I have booked a 1br suite at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Strip for Friday - Sunday. Same type of suite that we partied at in 2023. The suite has a kitchen, living room, dining, etc - and its of similar size to my old 1br apartment in Pleasanton. With this option we can all make use of the facilities at the resort (pool, gym, games room, alberca, parking lot) free of charge. This option allows for us to get together to party under one roof while allowing folks to find their own preferred sleeping accommodations.

House Rental

If there is enough interest, we can pitch in for an airBnB/Vrbo house, I found some affordable and fun options:

These houses are running out fast, so if there is interest we need to act quickly ! Otherwise, we will move the party to a Hotel suite :)
